Easter is arriving at Massaya Faqra in a fabulous burst of colour as our popular barrel painting competition returns for the two festival Sundays, April 21 and April 28. The artists give the occasion an extra flourish while our chefs have already designed a special Easter brunch menu. We invite our guests to come and see both the painters and the cooks in action and to feel a part of these special days. They’re special for children too, and we’ll be offering them an exciting Easter egg hunt around the vineyard.

This is a lovely way to celebrate Easter Day in the mountain sunshine, either on our terrace or in the intimate setting of the Fireplace where the menu will include a delicious seasonal dish Agneau Pascal.

Wine barrel painting with prizes of arak and wine has become a feature of Easter at Massaya Faqra and in past years we have seen some brilliant ideas. This time it’s no different. We invite art students, amateur painters and anyone who’s feeling creative with a brush in their hand to transform the simple wooden barrels into works of art.

Massaya will provide the artists with the barrels (with a foundation layer), the paints, refill of Massaya Blanc and Rosé 2018.
